WORLD DEBUT FOR ELIA BARTOLINI AT SAN MARINO GP. SKY JUNIOR TEAM VR46 #RMU RIDER ENDS IN 15TH POSITION, GAINING IS FIRST POINT IN MOTO 3
Misano Adriatico, September 16, 2019 – Elia Bartolini’s wild card in the Moto 3 World Championship ended yesterday at the Misano World Circuit. Sky Junior Team VR46 #RMU rider made his debut in the home circuit by crossing the line in fifteenth position, thus concluding in the points zone. In the same way other riders of RMU forge had done that before him: Bulega, Foggia and Vietti.
The high level of the competition has been an important test for Bartolini since the FP sessions. The rider entered Q1 and faced complicated Qualifying that forced him to start the race in the last row. After making a good start he kept a steady pace throughout the race. The completion was characterized by various falls but Bartolini kept the level of concentration high and the emotion of debuting in such an important showcase under control. He thus achieved his first point in the World Championship finishing the race immediately after Riccardo Rossi.
Bartolini, 16 years old last July 31, is competing in the Italian CIV Championship. He currently occupies the seventh place in the Championship and is back from two podiums in the last two weekends. The end of season appointments are scheduled for 21/22 September at the Mugello Circuit and 5/6 October at the Vallelunga Autodrome.
