Reggio Emilia, 08 October 2019 – The sixth and final weekend of races at Autodromo Piero Taruffi of Vallelunga has just ended with the double date of the Italian CIV Championship 2019. RMU Racing team raced with Matteo Boncinelli and Mattia Rato in Moto 3 on KTM and with Andrea Natali for the PreMoto 3 category on RMU. A season finale that confirmed the potential of the two rookies and the need to continue to gain experience to confront the riders at the top of the Championship.

Saturday, October 5, Race 1 was held. Positive start for Matteo Boncinelli who won the third position in Free Practice and in Qualifying 1. Following a more competitive Qualifying 2, he obtained the ninth position. Tenth position on the starting grid for team-mate Mattia Rato. Boncinelli managed to race for the top positions and did well with the pace, unfortunately six laps from the end the break of the gearbox forced him to stop. Seventeenth position for Mattia Rato.

In the PreMoto class 3 difficult race for Andrea Natali that ended in P14. Excellent performance and second place won by Filippo Farioli on RMU from our team factory Pasini Racing Team.

The last race of the Championship was held on Sunday 6 October and won by Nicholas Spinelli (Oscar Performance). Another excellent performance by Matteo Boncinelli who manages to stay on the third position for the duration of the race. Unfortunately, a contact with another rider on the last lap made him lose ground and end in sixth position. Difficult race for Mattia Rato who concluded in twelfth position.

Race 2 PreMoto 3 was good for Andrea Natali who ended in tenth position. Second place again for Filippo Farioli on RMU, ending the PreMoto 3 Championship in third place. Second place in the constructors’ standing for RMU Moto.

RMU Racing Team thanks the riders, technicians and mechanics for the hard work shown during the season and all the partners and collaborators who have made it possible for the team to participate in the Championship.

Alessandro Ruozi, Team Coordinator

“The Championship is over and the analysis for Moto 3 is absolutely positive, I believe that Boncinelli and Rato were two excellent rookies, more and more consistent and convinced of their potential. The team has also grown a lot, they have shown their value by always questioning and bringing out the best. In PreMoto 3 Natali had a difficult season due, in my opinion, to the great and fast physical growth. I have already noticed this trend with other riders in the past and I believe that next year he will be redeemed. Being the only rider in PreMoto 3 category has not helped. Personally I am satisfied with the results and the constant growth of the whole team. “
