ROUND 3 CIV – RMU Racing Team
The third round of CIV 2019 ended, a weekend of growth for Andrea Natali in PreMoto 3
Imola, 29-30 June 2019 – The third weekend of races has just ended at Autodromo Enzo and Dino Ferrari in Imola, with the double appointment of the Italian CIV 2019. RMU Racing team raced with Andrea Natali for PreMoto 3 category on RMU bike; Matteo Boncinelli and Mattia Rato for Moto 3 category on KTM bike. A torrid climate characterized the weekend on a very technical and competitive circuit.
Saturday, June 29 Race 1 was held. Discrete and growing qualifications for both Moto 3 riders (Boncinelli and Rato) who improved the times compared to the tests carried out at the beginning of the month. In the race, however, the two rookies could not complete this improvement; Rato crashed on the fourth lap. A technical difficulty for Boncinelli on the next lap did not allow him to finish the race.
In the PreMoto 3 class, Andrea Natali, after completing the Qualifying in 10° position, took part in a great bagarre with the group of pursuers, finishing the race in 8°position. Good performance and first place for Filippo Farioli on RMU with team factory Pasini Racing Team.
Sunday 30 June, under the scorching sun of Imola, the two Moto 3 rookies tried to improve their pace in Race 2. Rhythms were very high, consequently Boncinelli finished in 17° position while Rato in 20° position.
PreMoto 3 race was very positive for Andrea Natali, which further improved the timing of the previous day and ended the race in 7° position. Another podium for Filippo Farioli on RMU with a third position.
The next round will take place at Misano World Circuit on July 27 and 28.
Alessandro Ruozi, Team Coordinator
“An intense but positive weekend, Andrea confirmed the good impressions of the test by making two races on the rise, yesterday he was aggressive and incisive, I am confident for the next appointment. Boncinelli and Rato had difficulties due to the heat and also to the complexity of the track.I believe that this race has made them grow and we will see the results in Misano at the end of the month.”
