Reggio Emilia, 01 July 2020 – After the long global stop, green light for the debut of the 2020 Italian CIV Chiampionship. Reduced in four double rounds between July and October, it will start again with the first two races this weekend (4th and 5th July) at the Mugello Circuit.
The RMUVR46RA team, born from the collaboration between emilian RMU Moto and VR46 Riders Academy of Tavullia, will display five official bikes: two in Moto 3 and three in PreMoto3. The goal will be to promote junior talents and prepare the most promising riders for the professional leap.
In Moto 3, the riders on KTM bike will be Elia Bartolini and Matteo Boncinelli, both confirmed from the previous season. Despite lockdown made usual winter tests impossible, both have undergone intense individual training. First with physical preparation and later on circuit and offroad workouts. In last week private tests both proved to be fast right away, with promising timings.
A whole new team for PreMoto 3 with two rookies from CIV Junior, Alex Venturini and Flavio Piccolo, and Manuel Margarito, sixth last year. Riders had the opportunity to test the new PM3 250cc RMU during “Talenti Azzurri” training program. The results were positive and the debut was thrilling.

Alessandro Ruozi – Team Coordinator
“Undoubtedly this winter’s stop caused a general slow down due to the lack of practice. However, I am very satisfied with the tests and I can’t wait to see the riders back on track. During the tests at Mugello Circuit, Matteo and Elia’s experience gathered in the previous seasons showed, and they were fast right away. I can say the same thing about Manuel who immediately aligned himself with the fastest times. Despite being the first official test for Flavio and Alex, and the first year in PreMoto3, I liked their attitude and the times were very promising.”
